We'll meet you at the starting point in Basel, where we'll briefly explain what it's all about and answer any open questions. Here you'll also receive a tablet and your first clue.

Your compass: The tablet helps you navigate through the city and tells you whether a code you've entered is correct.

The bag of items: At your first destination you'll find further objects that you'll use to solve the following puzzles.

Teamwork counts: Everyone brings different skills, which is exactly what you need to crack all the puzzles together.

The tour takes about 2 hours.

The tour is designed for adults, recommended minimum age 16. For younger adventurers, there is an easier Kids Mode from about 10 years.

We also play in light to moderate rain, heat or cold. So bring appropriate clothing; if needed, we'll provide you with an umbrella. In case of heavy rainfall, we offer a free rebooking to another date.

The time per tour is set so that you can take a few minutes for short breathers. So you have the chance to quickly grab something to drink or an ice cream on the go. The maximum playing time is 2 hours, so longer breaks or interruptions are not possible. Otherwise you would run into the groups behind you, and we wouldn't be able to ensure a smooth organisational flow.

The difficulty of our puzzles is perceived very differently from person to person. People with a lot of escape game experience approach the challenge quite differently than those trying it for the first time.

For younger adventurers, we've specifically developed a Kids Mode. For especially fast groups, we also have the option of unlocking bonus puzzles during the game. So with our puzzles, we always adapt to your pace.

The tour leads through areas with cobblestones; stairs are not part of the route. In principle, we can also offer the tour with a stroller or wheelchair, though it may be that you'll need a small detour to reach your destination.

Since sound is an important part of the puzzles, this tour is unfortunately not suitable for deaf people. If you're interested, we're happy to advise you on our other tours.

Up to 8 people is recommended, as the puzzles are designed for one group. For larger groups of up to 24 people, Duel Mode is available from 8 people: you compete against each other in several teams and solve the puzzles in a direct contest.

No problem, please bear in mind the recommended maximum group size.

Dogs are very welcome. However, we'd appreciate it if the puzzle items come back to us as drool-free as possible at the end.

You don't always have to know everything in detail, a little surprise is a nice thing too!

But that's not all: various elements around you will also help you find the solution to the puzzle. Most important, however, will be teamwork. Puzzle together, exchange ideas and complement each other! Every person brings different skills, and that's exactly what you'll need in the end to crack all the puzzles.

After the last puzzle, you can pat each other on the back, because the roughly 3-kilometre-long scavenger hunt will have been tricky, and you'll have mastered it together. You can then crown the adventure with a selfie, have the photo sent to you by email afterwards, and view an evaluation.

Mission accomplished, items handed back, and the Game Master looks quite relieved that you made it. Who would have thought that team brain-jogging could be so much fun and end so head-spinning? Take a short rest while you still have all your brain cells together, because the next adventure at AdventureRooms Basel is already waiting!
